Can you over improve your home?

You can certainly put too much money into a home that it won’t allow you to get all of your value back, that you have put into it. Many sellers often repair, fix, and even improve areas of their home before listing it.  This is a great idea, but be sure you consult your agent.  A Realtor will help guide you on what to do.  Let you know that you won’t get any return in value on certain items, where as others could increase the desire of your home thus increasing the list price.


Prices are going up, should I wait?

Real Estate prices can be a gamble.  There are times that you think that you should wait, and other times that you think it is the right time to sell.  So which one is it?  It comes down to the number that you need to sell your house for to make you happy.  If it is time to move out of your house and you can achieve that magic number on your sales price then sell.  If you think you need to wait a bit so you can see where prices are headed that isn’t a bad idea either.  But remember, anything can change. Just because prices are rising now, doesn’t mean they won’t plateau in the future.
